Incredible food and atmosphere. You don't expect this type of quality in a tourist area, but it was amazing. My wife had the lobster ravioli and I had the beef tenderloin. They were both great, but the beef tenderloin was OUT OF THIS WORD! Honest. The best steak I have ever had. Great atmosphere with live music. I wouldn't call it over ...

Jonathan (my boyfriend) and I LOVE Hemingway's. The food is exquisite. It's like affordable Spanish gourmet. The rations are just right; we were neither stuffed nor still hungry. The taste is delightful and very flavorful. Even though we had a large selection of restaurants we kept coming back to Hemingway's for lunch AND dinner. There ...

Wouldn't really know what the food is like. We were going to try it on a recommendation and went to get a take out menu. Some of our party was unable to venture out. When we called to place our take out order we were informed that they were to busy to accomodate us. I then asked to speak with a manager and when the phone was put down, the ...

Excellent food and service. You could make a meal from many of their appetizers, which we usually do. The boiled shrimp is great as is their fried shrimp. They have a hot cocktail sauce that's great also. Our son loves the Cuban sandwich.

I have to say that I was very disappointed in our experience with Hemingway's Island Grill. A friend and I had dinner there last night and found the quality of the food was terrible. The waitress was very polite however, extremely slow. I wish I could say that at least we enjoyed the key lime pie or the browine sundae... but I can't, ...

We ate at this beautiful grill and totally enjoyed the food the view. We were also surprized at the quality of the entertainment. Every song he sang we liked.
He sat and talked with us on his break and sang 3 songs we requested when he went back on.He captured the essance of each singer. Needless to say we WILL be back. We love live music, but is ...

I visit Hemingway's at least twice every time I commence frequent business travel to Pensacola. Neither I, nor my partners, are ever disappointed. The staff is more than attentive, the wine is top quality, and the food is of superior quality. I am not certain exactly what irked the two preceding reviewers; I do know that -- after ...

  • horrid service
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/04/07
i've given this restaurant three tries at very spaced out intervals, every single time the service was absolutely horrid. my out-of-town guests ALL commented they had never had such poor service. the only thing saving this resturant is it's location right on the sound. the food is overpriced and only ok. if you're visiting p'cola definitely go downtown to the fish house for a true seafood experience.

  • Excellent Sunday brunch
    By Robert, 11/26/06
Sunday brunch starts off with them bringing a basket of various fresh and warm muffins. These are some of the best I've ever had. The entrees are good as well. One nice touch is the "Bottomless" champagne available for $5 a glass. Overall a very relaxing and nice experience. The service and views are also very good. The building itself has an excellent ambience about it.
