Really not that great as previous posters. Tandoori was sub-par. Nobody beats WazWan, but they are no longer in San Diego :(
This place is alright...but the great naan bread is no good at this place. I guess it's okay for mall food. Some of the chicken was undercooked.

After trying Chicken biryani at UTC location I happen to be in horton plaza in down town to go to movies and saw Royal India Express and since I had tried Royal India Express in UTC mall I ordered vegetable biryani it is fresh vegetables, curry, basmati rice and raisins. What a flavour and taste. It was yummy.

I tried Royal India Express in hoton plaza mall after the game at petco ball park. The chicken was so tender and curry had perfect aroma of spices served with basmati rice. I heard Royal India Express had another location in UTC mall. Must try it.

The Tandoori Chicken was fantastic! Get it with curry sauce on it. Place is in Horton Plaza mall but the food gourmet quality make the trip to discover! The best part is you get to choose from many different items and the combo plate only cost $6.99. Great value for money.

Royal India Express serve very delicious Chicken Tikka Masala, Veggi Korma, Channa Masala, Samosa, Saag aloo, Minced Meat Curry, Spicy Chicken Curry. Any two items with rice and bread for just $6.99
