    Cheap, yummy, fast!

Those are the three words I would pick to describe the place! Sometimes they are packed, so I always make sure to phone in my order 10-15 minutes before I get there! It's not exactly authentic Japanese, but heck, its so delicious and pretty healthy compared to McDs or other fast food chains!

The sushi rolls taste excellent and the portion sizes are plenty to save some for later.
My favorite salad to get at sushi restaurants is the cabbage sesame kind, but unfortunately I don't like how Maki Yaki prepares it (it tasted a bit like "used dishwater" smells, 3 differetnt times I tried it).
I would go back to Maki Yaki again ...

If you know anything about Cypress, you know that there are a lot of fast food places but not a lot of healthy. Maki Yaki is one of the food. The decoration is nice and the staff is always nice.

If you eat in, you get free miso soup. Try their red dragon roll, hawaiian roll or super maki special (spicy tuna, crunch roll and california roll). ...

Mr. Shim runs a pretty tight ship at his Maki Yaki restaurant. His employees are always dressed in their work attire--blue jeans, clean white t-shirt, and a crisp white apron.

The food is delicious for all who love sushi, sashimi, and the occassional rice and veggie bowl.
Wyatt loves the soft-sheel crab, I fill up on the potstickers, miso soup, and sticky rice.
Affordably priced, we eat there at least once a week.
