Thai Taste is my favorite restaurant in Southern Illinois. The food is awesome. It isn't, however, authentic Thai food. I graduated from SIUC and my husband, our friends and i, made it to Thai Taste at least twice a month. They have amazing food...period.The person who wrote the only bad review must have a bad attitude and needs to give it another go! Every time I come back even for the weekend i have to make it to Thai Taste for lunch or dinner. IT IS AWESOME!!!

The food was so-so, too dark in the restaurant, after sunset you could not even see what you were eating. What really sold me on this place, was during dinner, the people next to us finished and the waitress came over to clean the table, as she should. As a long time resident of Carbondale I have seen many restaurants open up in the current Thai Taste location. Then a few months later close down. Thai Taste has bucked the trend and remains one of Carbondale's favorite places to eat. Not authentic Thai but rather Thai fusion... but nonetheless very delicious. Prices very affordable. Definitely worth a try. Highly recommended!
