My fiance and I loved the Maryland Inn! The bed was wonderful and the room was very spacious. The building is obviously very old and it had such character - they have done a wonderful job renovating and still kept the historic feel. We had an awesome dinner and breakfast at the restaurant downstairs, A Treaty of Paris. The bar was quaint and the ...

  • we loved it!

Our room was huge, clean and just beautiful. Yes, the floor slants; yes, the building is old, but well rennovated, and yes, there are newer hotels with way more ammenities....but the historical charm and location make up for all of it. Everyone we encountered was helpful, the bed was perfect, the AC worked well, and the bathroom easily accomodated 2 people. LOVED IT! We will definitely be back.

  • I loved it!!!
    By Helen, 06/25/06
The Maryland in was built by my 6th Great Grandfather. Although I have only visited once when I was a child, I donīt think that it was a disaster. I am sorry that some of you did not enjoy your stay there. However,it is a very old building and maybe now it does need some fixing-up, but it should not be torn down!!! It is apart of my family history. ...

It looks like a great place to stay in the heart of Historic Annapolis...that is where the "great" part ends. We booked our room with king size bed in the Governor Calvert House about 4 months in advance. When we arrived at the GCH, we were told we would be staying at the Maryland Inn, just about a 5 minute walk from the GCH. We ...

  • Lovely and Restful

We enjoyed a delightful, relaxing stay at the Maryland Inn. Our suite had a spacious sitting room, high ceilings, a great view of the capital dome and St. Anne's, lovely four-poster bed, and well-equipped kitchenette. The Treaty of Paris restaurant served delicious dishes. Everything was within easy walking distance.

We decided to spend a day and a night in Annapolis, just to get away from things for a while. The city of Annapolis is just lovely and the US Naval Academy tour was great. However, the Maryland Inn was a disater. The room itself was so cramped that the chair in the room actually was touching the mattress of the bed. Even if the chair had been ...
