Loved the Sanctuary. Walking is a bit of a struggle for my friends, and Shalom owners were very thoughtful. We were allowed to bring the golf cart to the car, so, additional walking was not required. There was a scavenger hunt to participate in, and just a fun relaxing time. We saw many deer, elk, sheep, and my favorite was the raccoon. I would not hesitate to send anyone to Shalom. The trip was very affordable and fun. thank you.

Shalom is a peaceful place to visit. The animals have plenty of room to roam. The fawns seemed pretty happy and the buffalo weren't complaining. The bucks were cranky, but we're told that's normal this time of the year... Fun trip. Tips and education were provided.

I watched a presentation to 4th graders and then rode along on the wagon ride and I was very impressed, not just by the tour guide or the animals by themselves, but the surprises on the trail. If you plan on going, plan on being amazed at the beautiful sights on the trail--I can't ruin what they are!

I've been on this trip twice. Once with a friend during fall ruting season. We watched the bucks lock antlers fighting for dominece, with the prize being a doe.
The 2nd time I took my niece(who is 12 years old) and family. We saw buffalo within feet of the wagon; dozens of deer close up.
The ride was narrated extremly well.

A great way to spend a wonderful fall day or any day outside. Take a "buggy ride" down the trails and see lots of deer, elk, buffalo, and more at the Shalom Wildlife Sanctuary near West Bend, WI. The owner has lots of interesting stories to tell about the animals and more. This was a terrific outing, can't wait to go back with the grandkids.

I can't quite put it into words it was more of a feeling. I had tears in my eyes several times. I wish that more people could have an experience like I did. And then make that experience make a difference. We all need to improve they way we treat the people and animals that we interact with everyday.

It is a wonderful experience for the whole family to observe wildlife. It is well worth the price. The owners are very knowledgable and friendly.
