Our family was there over spring break, 2008. We got a decent deal as far as lift tickets and rentals. I wouldn't pay the ticket window prices for this facility (not worth it). The slopes were well groomed. Never really waited for a lift which was good. However there aren't many intermediate runs. The terrain goes from a bunny hill to very steep. Overall we enjoyed ourselves because we hadn't skied in 14 years.
Pros: Very nice, accomodating staff. We broke a binding and weren't charged for it. Hills were well groomed, jumps and grind rails were kept up. Several different runs.
Cons: A bit expensive, but they had some good packages if you can take advantage of them. Stay AWAY from the Chalet/Grille, extremely overpriced, and very poor service. ...

Go West For A Real Mountain
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/12/07
Granite Peak has slipped to new lows. Despite a great mountain and new equipment the place is poorly run. Very expensive and the staff is high school kids who try but are not professional. Grooming is poor and snow making is spotty. Large piles of snow and then bare spots! For $58 go out west and ski a real mountain. The cost of food and rentasl is also more than many western venues! This could be a great place but until then we will go west!

I would save my money.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/03/06
Lift tickets are way too overpriced, food is too expensive. Snow coundtions are usually man made and poor, usually icy. The lifts are from top of the hill to the bottom, with a drop off for beginner skiers, which have a hard time getting on, takes a while to get to the top. The hill doesn't feel as big as the say it is. I would strongly recomend traveling the extra distance and going to Indianhead, or anywhere else further north.

My favorite non-Colorado ski area!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/12/05
Lots of runs! Lots of lifts! Really decent terraine (for Wisconsin)! And great night skiing!! We went on a weekday and had the place nearly to ourselves. How nice is that! And yet all of the runs and lifts were open. The staff is friendly. The only problem~the bar is hard to ski to and does not face the mountain. Poor planning there.
