A nice zoo to take the kids. It has rides, concessions, a bathroom, and a playground in addition. Outside the zoo is a bigger playground, picnicking, biking\walking trails and plenty of free parking. The bathroom is closed in winter.

I love myrick you can do everything here... from riding your bike. seeing the monkeys and the bears and you've gotta love the echoing cries of the peacocks, going on a nature walk, letting the little ones "run Free". and not to mention that its all free this is the first zoo that ive ever seen thats free. theres also Tennis courts. and lil water park too bring the kids out you'll love this place....***** stars

My family is from the LaCrosse area and I now live in NY. Everytime I come home Myrick P{ark is at the top of the list of places to take my 4 children. They are the 4th generation that has visited the park and ridden on the same rides:) It is a small intimate park that makes for a great relaxing afternoon of playing, picnic and fun. Hopefully ...

Myrick Park is the hot spot for my kids. They love going here to play on the playground equipment. It's handicap accessible, so everyone is welcome. You can have a picnic, play frisbee, swing, make a sand castle, play tag, hide & seek and check out the animals.

Let me first say that I am new to the area, having lived all of my life in and around Philadelphia. I am a member of the Philadelphia Zoo, and I was excited when I learned that La Crosse had its own zoo. Today, I went to the park for the first time - solely to see the zoo.

I was pleasantly surprised by what I found. I did not see any animals ...

The picnic & playground areas were great. Very Nice.

But, The condition of the zoo and the animals were horrible. I thought the cages were too small & very dirty. The animals looked depressed IMO. Sorry to say I won't be going back. Too depressing to look at the animals.

Go to the play area with your children or stroll the adjacent marsh trails. Picnic or take your bicycles on the trails. All are wheelchair friendly too!
