I Loved the music, the theatre is beautiful, and the history in that building is worth bringing back! Just don,t forget the people who made the history a.k.a Doc Williams, Chickie Williams, Hawkshaw Hawkins, and Many more, Make them Proud!

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/19/07
This is the first place I saw Kathy and oh, so mant others!! It was very personal and elegant. I one fall afternoon with my fiance saw Kathy the matinee and evening shows. save the capitol!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/08/07
I've performed on the Capitol stage numerous times. From dance recitals, strings concerts, BE Taylor shows, choir concerts, band concerts, and even the Nutcracker, the Capitol has provided a very elegant and appealing environment for both the performers as well as the audiences. Hopefully we can all pitch in and help save this historical landmark, so that others may enjoy the pleasures it has to offer.

fond memories
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/01/07
I look back at my memories of the Jamboree with fond memories. I went there, as did my older brothers, with my parents. I was able to see Billy Crash Craddox, Ronnie Milsap, and Johnny Cash, and June Carter Cash to name a few. It saddens me that I can't enjoy this special place with my wife or child.

It used to be great
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/18/07
They've gone & sold it.
Jamboree USA is not held there any longer.
Some fabulous performances by some great entertainers were held there.
It used to be on "The Circuit" for country singers.
Too bad it's no longer active, it sure was beautiful inside and with a very special atmosphere.
Even WWVA radio station would broadcast live from the lobby.
Gone---but a beautiful memory.

The home of Jamboree USA for those of you that have ever listened to WWVA or country music. The interior is beautifully decorated in early 1900s STYLE. The acoustics are good even from the mezzanine.
I had the honor of attending the symphony as well as a country artist all in the same week. The sound was great. They have big screen TVs that ...
