This is my favorite golf course in central West Virginia. It's much better than the other public courses. I even prefer it to some of the private courses.

I thought this was a superior course. It's nicely laid out and well managed. The surroundings are pleasant. Being a championship course, it provides a workout comparable to courses in larger metropolitan areas. The weather here is mild, so play is possible most months of the year.

Big Bend is named for its location along the Coal River. I've always thought the topography made the course special. After playing many other courses, I know it is. Even on the hottest summer day, Big Bend is pleasant. By comparison, other courses under the same weather conditions are sweltering. If you love to play golf but refrain from doing so on the hottest days, come out to Big Bend.

When I'm back home in West Virginia, I always enjoy golfing at Big Bend with my father and uncle. I played the course regularly when I lived there and fondly anticipate each return. The fairways are beautifully designed and the greens well manicured. We're eagerly planning our next visit.

This is the best public golf course in this area of West Virginia. Only The Greenbrier, Oglebay and other distant courses--as well as some private courses--beat it.

This is a beautiful course at Upper Falls. It's an 18 hole, par 71 championship course that plays great! With tree-lined fairways and large greens, it has water coming into play on three holes. There is a pro on staff. The clubhouse has gorgeous wood paneling. As a public facility, the prices are extremely reasonable.

I've always loved this course. When I had the opportunity to buy a home nearby, I did. Now I get to play Big Bend as much as I want. I invite friends out during the summer and we go out and play a round of golf and then have a barbeque. I wouldn't live anywhere else.

This is a really nice course for women. It's well designed and challenging. I'd like to see them host a women's tournment. It's a great course!
