Superb course in a scenic setting. I wish I could go more often. When I'm able to get away, It's always a highly enjoyable outing.

This course is one of the worst I have ever visited. Not only are there stray dogs and the stench of burning trash, but the maintenance workers kept staring at my wife and it was almost as if they were following us around just to get a peek at her. I was appalled

Don't let the bad reviews scare you away from this course. I played this course dozens of times while on the golf team at SCHS, and just recently played it for the first time in almost 8 years (I live out of the area). The only difference between then and now is that the trees are taller. I didn't see any wandering dogs -- only geese by ...

I grew up on this course in the 70's, so it is a little biased. The pine trees are a bit taller now, so play is a bit harder if your ball goes out of the fairway. My only slight on this course is that the Kanawha Co. management is not able to keep this course up like it used to be.

The constant blaring of train horns create the atmosphere of playing golf in a freight yard. I've experienced the stench of neighbors burning trash here, too. And the stray dogs roaming the course just top it all off. This area and this course are just trashy!

This is the only golf course I've ever played that had stray dogs roaming around on it. We actually encountered piles of dog feces on one of the greens! This is absolutely unforgivable. Since this is a public course, the taxpayers of this district should demand that their leaders either get their act together or close this course and sell the land to a developer!

I visited this course with some acquaintences. Unbelievably, residents of the area were burning garbage! The acrid odor was nauseating and we had to endure it the entire time we were there. We actually gave up before finishing our game and fled the area. My hosts were mortified that a golf course they recommended would be subject to the stench of burning garbage!

NOTHING IS WAS NOT THAT BAD, WHEN YOU WALK IN AT FIRST THE CLUB HOUSE IS BEAUTIFUL. I LIKE THE WAY THE COURSE IS KEPT, AND THE ATMOSPHERE IS FREINDLY.

This is the worst course in the area. I have to agree with the others about the junked cars and the noise. Why waste your time when you can go someplace nice?
