I am totally against the museum charging parents 7.95 to walk around and watch their own kids; Parents should enter free of charge. This museum is small in space and can get crowded when there are tons of kids running around, and I have yet to see a parent running and jumping on the kids equipment. Not only is it a place that seems like it only ...
I figured there wouldn't be much for my 9 month to do, but was still disappointed to discover that in the Tot Spot (for under 4 yrs) there was only 1 area devoted to infants. It was a green mat and a mirror. I thought the mat was very dirty looking. Even though there are signs posted to take your shoes off, toddlers were walking all over the ...

We can't wait to go back!

What I like about HOCM was the appropriate early learning guidelines for young children ages three to eight. Here's what I think: The Creative Development[5- Stars]; Communication Language Development & Literacy[5-Stars]; Cognitve Development[5-Stars] Self-Concept & Social-Emotional Development[5-Stars] and Physical Development ...

Not what we expected
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/18/06
We didn't care for the country club atmosphere. It seemed very dirty and disorganized. The staff was helpful, but looked unkempt and unprofessional. This is what they call the "Nordstrom" of children's museums? I think not.

Fun but dirty
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/14/06
We've been members for two years now. LOVE the new exhibit!! But this winter, during flu season, I have noticed that the museum is NOT clean. Next ...

Great children's museum across the street from the capital
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/05/04
For a small town we were really impressed by the depth of this museum. Lots of activity rooms for different ages. My 1 year old really enjoyed the kid size port of Olympia hands on exhibit and the kid's school bus.
