Will not use breakaway cruises again!My friends and I were told we were going on a party boat and were definately mislead by staff; after we paid we were put on a deep sea fishing boat called the Isabella with no music, no lights, it smelled like fish, and drinks were put in a bait bucket. The South Padre Island Pros of funMy family and I went looking for some great family time and we found it. Breakaway Cruises has very friendly staff. We went on an eco tour and my son loved seeing all the sea creatures they bring on the boat. We decided to parasail on their yellow banana looking boats. We had a funny HOTT captain named Eric. Okay experiencesWe used Breakaway Cruises for parasailing and a trip on the Aquadog. The guys who did the parasailing were very nice and helpful. I thought it was a tad expensive for a 15 minute ride, but I didn't compare prices, so they may be competitive. As for the Aquadog, I thought it wasn't worth the money. Best Family Attraction!First off, I don't know what you people are talking about old boats and scuba diving! Breakaway does not do scuba diving, American Diving, which is next door, does. And the oldest boat is no more than 5 years old or so. Get your facts straight! I took my family of 4 on the Eco Tour and the Aqua Dog, we had a BLAST! We saw about 15 dolphins, we ...3 of 4 Yahoo! a bit disappointedWe went on a dolphin watch and the entire time the captain decided to enthrall us with how exciting his life is, how rich he is, how awesome his son is, what an incredible and wealthy architect his brother is etc. He made the ride nearly unbearable because he was so full of it.

Priceless tripWe just visited South Padre for the first time, and went on a dolphin watching tour and eco tour. It was very fun and beautiful. Our 4yr old son LOVED the eco tour, because they drag the net and tell you all about each creature they catch. My son got to hold a star fish, and see a pregnant crab, poisonous fish(forgot the name), sea snail, and shrimp.
