This year's was tougher than most with low water and high temperatures. To make matters worse as we put on our spray skirt for the bay crossing there were about 10 alligators hanging around watching us.

I have done the Texas Water Safari but my husband and father-in-law do every year and I am the Team Captain. You can only give them water and ice and that is it. It is a 260 mile race. It is fun adn you meet so many wonderful people every year. If you like adventure and don't mind snakes, alligators, and being dirty and starving for 4 days then I recommend it. It is great fun.
