The Atalanta Railcar sits in state in the historic district of Jefferson. It is owned by the local Garden Club and tours are guided by volunteers. The tour is informative and the car is very impressive to walk through.

Your first reaction will be "why tour a railcar" but I recommend it. There is a great deal of history and interesting tidbits to be learned here and the car itself is an impressive piece of design.
