I went to go see the show because a couple of my friends were in it. I was reading the other revies as for the props and the customes and everything in general the company as a very little buget to work with. The performs stated the most the got paid in a month was 120 dollars, so you could only imagine how much for a sound system and everything ...
My family and I had heard from many of our friends that we should see Viva El Paso. We got there early and had a great parking spot. I reserved tickets in advance and we got to our seats and watched the pre-show. Now, I've been to a real Broadway show on Broadway, and I wasn't expecting a Broadway show, but I was expecting to see something ...

seriously, if you are going to perform as a dancer, then easy on the fries girls
I am a native El Pasoan, and have always been proud of where I've come from, this show, I think, is a reminder to the locals to be proud of their roots and cultural origins. Anyone with negative feedback on the show has to remember that anyone involved in the company doesn't get paid much, but they are there because they love what they do, ...
I am from El Paso and have seen Viva El Paso since the very first. I love it, but I think it is time for an upgrade.Keep the basic story just come up with a few new numbers and change some of the story line. A lot of native El Pasoans would like to see the show again and again but they say it's the same show, so they after many years ...

I LOVED THE SHOW
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/14/06
I saw this show about 6 years ago and I absolutely loved it. I only wish that I could see it more often when I visit El Paso. I loved the dancing, the singing, the performance, the theater and especially the history behind it. I to wish that more cities and states would put on a show like this to show people about their heritage. For those of ...

Good Story, Bad Acting
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/30/06
My mother-in-law saw this show many, many years ago and highly encouraged me to go. I was soooooo disappointed by the performances. It is a really good story but the acting and dancing was bad. It's a shame. They need to get some real money into this show to make it really great and worth seeing. I felt like I was watching an annoying elementary school play. I cant believe I skipped out on a George Lopez re-run to watch this.

Something to proud of as an El Pasoan
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/26/06
The talent of our young actors and dancers is truly something we should be proud of. These performers have put in a tremendous amount of their time and energy into these performances. These actors are getting paid peanuts compared to what they are truly worth. "VIVA" El Paso is educational and entertaining. Make sure you acknowledge the performers after the show.
Many people miss the spirit of their history of the town. El Paso presents it in a strong story, entertainment. It sure beats going to a history museum and just reading about it. iViva! keeps El Paso's historic spirit alive with talented dancers, storyline, and many different actors. The set is rich in nature and gives us a reason to be ...
Enjoyed this performance very much! The historical perspective was well done and the transitional time periods were easy to follow. In addition to the history of El Paso, it made it more interesting that humor was added to involve the crowd somewhat. A great show for out-of-town folks to enjoy! The natural setting of the mountains enhances the show to its ultimate.
