Just got back from Corpus Christi. Our kids loved the Texas State Aquarium. There was so much to see and to do. Not just a fact muesum, but all sorts of activies for the kids to do and to see.
The kids loved to touch the Sting Rays and to watch the Dolphin and Avian shows.
Suggestion....
I would go on a weekday and right when it opens. ...
I liked everything about it, however the shows should be offered more times during the day...not just every 2 hours or so. The new exibits were great as I had not seen them before. We want to go back next month and take the kids. I think the prices are reasonable considering how much they do to help the animals and have a rehab center. The staff is ...
The Texas State Aquarium was a cool place to be. We watched wild birds fly directly over our heads in the Wild Flight show. We got to get up close and personal with the sea turtles, dolphins, and the opportunity to touch manta rays! We saw this HUGE hermit crab casually crawling around in the water. It was awesome to see Piranha and other Amazon ...
I would have never thought that I could have so much fun. It was my first time to ever experience somthing like that. I was there last sunday the 29th of March and I was so impressed with the dolphin show and all the animals. The dolphin show was the winner for me if you would like photos of this you can email me at ...
This attraction is not worth the time, effort or the high price of admission. It only takes about 9 minutes to walk through the entire aquarium, and thats only if you stop and read about every species of fish they have..... save your money! The atmosphere is good, but very limited. Value is a flop....
Our kids loved this place. It closes at 600 in the summer which is too bad. We went through the aquarium in about 1.5 hours. Would have stayed longer had it been open longer.
When my son was small and we lived in Corpus Christi, we'd go on weekdays when there weren't as many people. I'd instantly relax in the dark cool of the tank rooms. I guess it was my "zen". The contrasting colors of the fish, the ability to just sit and chill...it was just one of my most favorite places to go.
The aquarium, located in a not so beautiful are, is very nice both inside and out. However, the hefty price (~$18 with parking) is a lot for the amount of time it takes to go through it.
Additionally, while I was smart enough to have arrived when the doors first opened, I still barely missed busload upon busload of school children invading the ...
