There were several exhibits that were hands-on. You could touch stingrays and hold a hermit crab. The dolphin show was educational and entertaining. They also asked for volunteers to get wet.
I actually just went on vacation to Corpus. I happened to go to the aquarium. Some parts were under construction but rather than that it was really nice i was expecting more but i like what i had seen. I enjoyed every second of it..... =)

not so wonderful

For the price, it really isn't that great, the aquarium has some good exhibits but not enough for the price. They used to be really decent with prices and then jacked them all up, I no longer go because it just cost to much to take the kids and friends.
Great dolphin shows, fun loving environment, great learning experience, fun for the whole family. Didn't like that you have to pay and extra $3.50 for parking that they don't informe you in the packets of when you call.
It was an educational place to visit, but we were able to view everything there, including the 15-minute dolphin show in under two hours, which included a 15-minute wait for the show to start and another 20 minutes in the gift shop. $40 for two adults and a child....you get more entertainment out of a movie for less money.
The aquarium was no better than average. It was clean and well maintained, but there was nothing special about it. The dolphin show was a disappointment. It was poorly organized and generic. A better show is at Sea World in San Antonio. It was not really work the money.

Last summer I went to the Texas State Aquarium with my family, we had a blast. My brothers loved looking at the shark and toaching the crab things. Although the aquarium is VERY expensive, I had a blast and would love to go back!!! The dolphin show is very cool. If you are going to the aquarium, you have to watch a show.

Wonderfull Education of Marine Life for Kids

This is a great place for your children learn and have fun doing it. Excellent staff... Very lean facilities....Definatly a place that my family will return too.
We paid $30+ for two adults and they only had a handful of exhibits. I was surprised that a place would charge so much for so little to see. Overpriced and not much to it. The best part was the chocolate chip cookie from Subway!
