My nieces and nephew request Deer Farm for their birthdays every year. The pony rides have them hooked. My neice Julia loves Smoky and has to ride him everytime. She is so excited to go this year and we look forward to going back! Great for kids and the zonkey is awesome!!!!

My 2 year old loved the pony ride. It did smell bad, but I guess that is hard to avoid. She had a nice time getting close to the animals.

Went this past weekend (Oct 5). Weather was nice and cool.

First thing we noticed when we got there was the smell, but we grew up on a farm so it wasn't "that" much of a shock.

Kids enjoyed the pony ride. That was pretty neat.

As for the petting zoo, it needs help. I don't like to see animals in gravel floored ...

If you have kids who love animals this is an awesome place to go, the kids get to feed and pet different animals (goats, horses, ponies, zebra, reindeer etc). We loved our visit to the Deer farm! Granted we went on a beautiful day so I wouldn't recommend visiting ANY farm in the heat of the summer.
All the animals seemed very well taken care of and looked pretty happy.
The emu chicks had some leg issues but I don't know anything about emus.
The poor potbelly piggy also had some sever skin ...

My four year old loved this place. You get to feed and pet on these animals such as zebra, camels, emus, deer of different types, zonkey(a zebra and donkey mix), kangaroo, and etc. My daughter really enjoyed the pony ride, they a extremely gentle. If you have kids I highly recommend this place.

The Smoky Mountain Deer Farm is one of the most pleasant places I have ever visited. The employees were some of the nicest people in the area. (Especially the longer haired gentleman in the gift shop who gave me excellent directions for traveling around the area.)
