The zoo is a great place for children and adults. The pets are friendly, healthy and seem happy to see you. We have been several times from Florida and have enjoyed each visit.

We will be back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/23/07
All most all of the animals came to us. We got the largest cup that they had and it was enough to feed all of the animals but we filled up at the end to feed the goats and deer again. The best part was seeing the camels come up to you for food and let you pet them. We got to see the prairie dogs running around and that was so cute. The staff was ...

Disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/26/07
Go early if going. Too hot in middle of day. Animals were friendly but looked extremely miserable. The prairie dogs were the cutest, running loose. My family has been to a similar type zoo at Myrtle beach that we really enjoy, so this(less animals) zoo was really a disappointment.

Great trip!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/20/07
My kids had a wonderful time! The animals were friendly and the staff told us how to feed the animals. Like some animals should be fed from cups and others cannot. They explained don't take feed cups in with the goats, but do take feed cups in with the deer. The admission price was very reasonable, and the cost of feed was nominal as well.

The horseride trail was very relaxing and not very mountainous like other horse rides we have been on before. The guides were great with the kids!

Loved it all !!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/01/06
My family and I loved the deer farm and petting zoo as a whole. The price is reasonable and you can spend a lot of time there and not realize it. The children loved going into the cages with the goats and deer. All the animals seemed healthy and happy... to be being feed from all of our little hands. The only advice I would give is to take hand ...
Our family visits the zoo every year. This is a place where you can actually interact with the animals and we all love it. It is quite an experience to have a tall camel lean down over the fence to gently slurp food from your cupped hands. We've visited the zoo the last four years and will again given the chance....you must take your family ...
Felt like our family had been sent back to the 1960's....the animals cages were all made up of different types of material like they had been put together from Fred Sanfords left overs! Small gift shop with little for the kids to choose from, they try to sell you animal feed so that the goats will attack you!!! Guess we expected more...

You've got Ride horseback Here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/01/06
The Deer Farm Zoo is apparently associated with the Horseback Riding at the Deer Farm (located close together). We didn't make it to the zoo. We wanted to take our kids on a pony ride and made an appointment for hoseback riding. It was GREAT! The kids (under 5) rode full size horses with the guide riding between them. We parents got to ride ...
