This is a great park to just relax. There are three parts to it, there is the sports complex, walking trails and disc golf, and then the wonderful open area near the lake that offers a safe place to swim. We love everything about Winged Deer Park. It is great for picnicking, youth sports activities, walking, volleyball and fishing. We camp, and enjoy camping just down the road at Lakeview RV Park www.lakeviewrvpark when our daughters are playing in softball tournaments at Winged Deer. That way we can enjoy the amenities of Lakeview RV Park as well as Winged Deer Park. We highly recommend both.

If you are planning on putting a team in the leagues at Winged Deer Park, you might want to think again. They call games at the blink of a shower, don't offer up enough games, and charge an arm and a leg for very poor management. There's a reason that they are losing teams to other leagues. Their management has run teams out of Winged Deer for league ball.

I go rollerblading here. The softball complex provideds a excellent surface and obsticals to keep it fun. The 1/2 mile fitness track is a great way to jog and warm up, or cool down. I always have a good time when I go.
