We took 2 roads, one out of Cades Cove and another from Cataluchee, that are closed in the winter. There were NO cars on these roads, but the wildlife was abundant! all we could do was say wow we are from illinois so the smokey mountains all the creeks and water paths were so neat we even drove to cherokee nc and went to mingo falls to see the water fall aslo on the way back to gatlinburg we stopped on the road and took pictures of bears cant wait to go again gatlinburg was crowded we stay in pigeon forge but it was busy with the spring rod run
This is a beautiful place to vcacation. It is peacefully exciting, if that makes any sense. The creeks and water ways that wind through the park are splendid. I visited the park often as a child and am planning a trip back with my daughter.

I have lived in the Great Smoky mountains for 28 Years i recently moved to Colorado about 2 years ago. I miss those Mountains so much. The best time to go is in the Fall when the leaves are changing. I miss the Drive through the mountains from cherokee to Tenn.

We love the Smokies. My family and I vacationed there every year. When I grew up I took my family there several times a year, until we moved to Florida. The beach is fun, but we love our Smoky Mountains!
