It did not keep my kids interest. The aerial tramway was cool but after that there really wasn't much to do. We went in the late Spring, maybe everything wasn't open yet. I won't go back.

We had 6 people in our party and took the Air tram up to Ober Gatlinburg. I guess we should have know that this was a really big hot spot in the winter but we were really disappointed when we got to the top. The view was beautiful but the shops (all 5 or 6 that were up there) were cheesy nothing that excited anyone in our group. That was $60 that could have been spent better.

My Family & I visited the place for the first time and it was okay until we went to get the tickets and found a lady ahead of us covered with mud from a hanging floral basket that is hanging very low and in the way for anyone around the ticket's window. Sure enough with my kids talking to me and I am looking down to them not looking behind ...

The Ober Gatlinburg experience was so bad for my wife and I that the very name of the place became an adjective for us that refers to something that has gone horribly wrong.

The tram blew a fuse on the way up, leaving us stranded for 15-20 minutes mid-ride. The actual "attraction," once we got there, had NOTHING at all special other than a bear "habitat," which I could swear also exists IN THE MOUNTAINS, except bigger, natural, and cruelty-free.

We got the wrist band for the whole day and I think me and my husband enjoyed it as much as our kids did (they were 10 and 8 at the time.) We enjoyed seeing the bears and of course, the rides. Alpine Slide is a lot of fun. My 70 year-old grandpa who is a total kid at heart, rode it and loved it! I don't think I have ever seen him laugh so hard!

We have been to Gatlinburg every year for the last ten years and have always enjoyed the attractions at Ober Gatlinburg. The sled ride is awesome! Watch out for ground hogs. Water slides are a blast as well.

To save on the cost, drive up instead of taking the tram. Once you have done the tram, there's no reason to pay the price again. Also, by the day arm band, that way you can ride the attractions you like over and over.

The trip up was fun, but I didn't think there were a lot of things to do once you got up there. Good for the kids I guess.
