The place is just historic. That's really what it's all about. It's fascinating to see the actual bullet holes, see the place where the family buried their treasure. If you read alot about the Civil War, it's a great place for it to come alive for your kids. Great visit ~

We went as a group of 4 adults and 2 children, and each one of us found the tour and self-guided exploration interesting and indeed fun. Even my 4 yr old, who loves zoos and animals, (not much of a history buff yet)loved the tour. I would highly recommend this tour.
