One of the most peacful and idylic spots in SC. Swan Lake is a treasure. The swans are beautiful as are the Iris. The north gardens offeer peace and tranquility.

I love that we can go there for free and feed the ducks and geese. There are so many interesting species of swan too. The only things I dislike about it are parts of the playground are a little worn out and the ducks and geese will follow you around if you have food. A very nice place to spend time with the family, walk around the lake for some early morning exercise, feed the swans and just people watch.

Nice area to toss the football in the fall and play tennis and stuff during the summer. The Iris Festival is a nice family draw, as well.

This was a beautiful, elegant place to walk around and interact with ducks, geese, black and white swans freely. You also get to learn lil fun facts and view trees and flowers from exotic places. ALL OF THIS AND IN one beautiful location (oh yeah and a bridge leading over to a more private looking area filled with swans playin with each other and you. Oh yeah it's free too!

the festival pagent was very disorganized and rigged... you could not hear the speaker and there was alot of talking going on in the auditorium... i would not even think of letting my daughter be in the pagent again...

We are a military family and have traveled the globe. However, we have not found a place that can compare to the tranquility and incredible beauty of Swan Lake. Unfortunately, my son was only months when we left the area. However, now our son is much older and now we have a daughter too. We look forward to coming back to the Sumter area to show them this true place of beauty.
