This was our first time out on the lakes, and I was surprised at a couple of nice restaurants where you could pull your boat in and get out to order something great to eat. I can't wait to go back and hopefully spend the night in on the the cute little cabins we saw.
The only downfall I would say is that you really have to keep an eye on for tree stumps (or even tops of trees sticking out of the water) They could really damage your boat!

Lake Marion is a great place to vacation. We stayed at the CAROLINA KING RETREAT, where you can get a small cabin for the same price as a nice hotel room.
