We opted out of Florida - in February - to take advantage of the huge Camping Discount offered at Santee. We got a pullthru slot overlooking the Lake and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a quiet and beautiful park.
Park has nice hiking trails. Unfortunately we didn't see much wildlife this trip.
We look forward to returning in the near future.

if you like to fish, water sking, just playing in the water you need to check it out you will come back every year.the best time to visit is anytime winter or summer if you have kid you will need to take them in the summer because there is so much todo you will have to cll them in 2 or 3 times because they are having so much fun.there was nothing bad about santee it is a good summer vac, for the hold family even the dogs & cats.
