I camped here on a weekend that was almost deserted. It was so peaceful and serene. Just beautiful, pine forest, great bike and hiking trails. So, I am trying it this time on the 4th of July. Hope it is still serene! haha

What a wonderful place to be lazy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/12/06
My husband and myself and four of our grandchildren stayed for three nights last year and we are returning next week, just the two of us. The children had a wonderful time hiking and playing. It is well worth your time and money to come to this friednly campground.
We found the hosts to be very nice and friendly. Most of all, the cleanliness ...
Clean park, beautiful place. We held a family reunion at one of the shelters. The kids absolutely loved the geese and goslings trailing behind them. Nice terrain for gorgeous views.
PMSP is a great place for hiking, bicycling and general sitting around! For a mountainous park right near a downtown (Greenville SC), it is not heavilky traffic'd and one can move about the trails easily.
I often walk the poodle on the trails - some are brand new and readily accessible. One, that circles a back country lake, is new and can ...

A Gem in Greenville
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/23/06
It is beautiful and well maintained! My favorite place in the Upstate. The trails are moderate to difficult and there are some great mountain biking trails. Lake Placid is gorgeous. They are working on a new visitor center that should be great.
this is a great place to relax, enjoy, hike, mountainbike etc. It is also a place where you meet lots of other dog owners in this pretty much unfriendly dog area. We had a great time even if it was January. We are looking forward enjoying this scenery in summer...

I like the friendly atmosphere. I was well into my thirties when my 13 year old son and I decided we were going camping. It was something I had always wanted to do but because or fear and sterotyping I thought it best i did'nt. But everyone was very friendly and I felt safe. Now every year my family and friends and everyones I tell visits Paris Mountian.
I found the Park simply wonderful. The bathrooms had warm air and HOT water for showers. We went in February, so this was definitely a PLUS. There was a fire ring/grill at most every site. The wood was free. Pic-nic tables at the sites. Great trails to walk. Several State Parks I have wanted to stay in do not allow dogs, however Paris ...
