Excellent tour and a great valueWe took Capt. Rod's Lowcountry Tour; this was a large pontoon boat tour to an island for shelling then sailing back and viewing several plantations from the boat. He related a lot of history of the area in the 3 1/2 hour tour. We paid $22.50 per person (we had a 10% off coupon); this is an excellent value. Highly recommended.OVERALL

Fantastic!On Friday, August 18, we went on a boat ride from Georgetown, SC on Captain (Cap'n.) Rod's
boat from the bay at Georgetown 14 miles out to a barrier island, stopped there for an hour and a quarter and walked around the island searching for seashells. Most of us found some nice shells. Cap'n Rods Lowcountry ToursCaptain Rod takes you on a pontoon boat around the intercoastal waterway to see some of the plantations. You get to see some of the rice fields that supported the plantations. You will even see some wildlife like aligators and bald eagles.
