Good for boys 7 years old and underThis museum is interesting but small. Most of the helicopters are locked up in the hangar where you can walk around and "look" at them behind ropes. I respect this since they are vintage aircraft and need TLC, but I did not expect such limited access. There are four or five helicopters you can sit it but they are either mock ups of real ...SHOW FULL REVIEW

I would be careful...We scheduled my sons 5th birthday party here. 25 children showed up with parent in tow. There was a fie alarm in the adjactent buiding 5 minutes before the party started, so we were evacuated. This was a parents nightmare..

What a unique place to visit!We went as a family and took my in-laws. My
father in law is a veteran and loved looking
at the older helicopters, my kids loved the
hands on smaller copters, I liked the gift
shop too. The staff were all very nice and
gave us a tour. We watched a video of some
of the helicopters. I really appreciated the

What a cool place to visit!We visited The American Helicopter Museum in
October of 2005 during Rotorfest and the air
shows, helicopters on display, the pilots were
all friendly and eager to sign our childrens'
posters and let them climb into their heli-
copters! They also have the autogyro that
Amelia Airhart flew...what a neat place. We

Amazing museum w/ tons of info & great exhibits.This museum is filled with information on rotary-winged flight and exhibits of full scale helicopters. There is a UH-1 Huey and they also even have (or at least 'had') a Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft parked out on the tarmac!!! You can even go into and sit down inside the V-22.
