I have been here numerous times, more for a morbid fascination than to enjoy the zoo. They have some of the most amazing animals I've ever seen, the black Jaguar, white tigers, etc. The cages are made of chicken wire and 2x4s screwed together. They have a latch with a lock on it to keep the lion cage closed, and one time I was there and the ...

Perpective

For several years we have purchased seasons passes to this great place. We love it because, relative to large zoo's, the animals are normally active unless it is awfully hot. The paths are dirt and when it has rained are muddy and lead to the natural environment in which animals live. The employees obviously love animals and take excellent care ...

My husband and I just took our 3 year old granddaughter and cannot express how horrible this "zoo" was. Anyone who has any concern for animals will be outraged at the condition of the cages. They are way too small. If the animals spirit hasn't been broken to the point they have given up and just lay there, they are totally ...

Not Clean - Horrible Odor - Very disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/09/09
Claws N Paws was a disappointment. First of it, it was very expensive. Over $27.00 for two people. After you walk in the park it had a terrible smell...couldn't stand it. Smelled like cat urine. Evidentially, the cages were not cleaned for quit some time. It was so bad that you couldn't enjoy the animals. Then to our surprise, there ...

this place was a disgusting mud pitt no sun or grass for the animals there cages were not big enough for the animals I saw no fresh water in there cages it was very depressing and I dropped a note to the pennsylvania spca you would think with the money they charge to get in they would take better care of the animals.

Concerned about the animals
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/27/09
This park had a lot of beautiful animals but we came away concerned that they aren't getting the care they need. The smell in some areas was unbearable! That means bugs are going to be attracted and that means disease, not to mention it is very unpleasant for the animals and the visitors. I thought some of the cages looked small for the ...
This place is horrible, the cages are far too small, the animals look bored and distressed (the beaver was even trying to claw a hole under the fence to escape), and the animals are not well taken care of, the animals were all hungry, the donkey and pony were pushing around their food dishes with their noses. It was heartbreaking.
I was not impressed with this animal park at all. My husband and I took my 3 year old daughter while spending the weekend in the Poconos thinking it would be a fun thing to do. The animals were very sad looking, did not seem well taken care of at all. It was a very big waste of money and our time. Will never visit again.

I disliked it because 1) The tiger has a path were it constantly paces back and forth, this shows the tiger is in stress.
