Grandson and I had the first ride of the morning. Both of us enjoyed the tour and we learned a few things. Planning on going back next year and doing it again. Hope we get the same driver. He was very knowledgeable and easy to ask questions to when we stopped at different places. Well worth the money.
Always so tough to start a raving review with a horrible kickoff. Long story short a long-term employee or owner working at the Gettysburg Battlefields Bus Tours desk was amazingly rude. The person I reference name was Mark. We arrived to collect our pre-paid tickets and were greeted with a sour hello and unwarranted "what is your last ...

Many 1st time visitors to Gettysburg attempt to understand this complex battle on their own...hit a Do Not Enter area or a one-way street & then give up. How sad. The audio tour provides a great overview & when complete leaves the visitor confident to wander on their own & understand where they are & what took place there in 1863. ...
In case you did not know battlefield bus tours cost 22.95 for an adult on the double decker audio bus tours, and 24.95 for an adult on the coach bus with a guide. This is a very expensive way to tour the battlefield if you have a family. Also, the bus only stops once on the battlefield.
You have other options to tour the battlefield. All of the ...

we are frequent visitors to gettysburg, and have taken both the bus tour and the double-decker tour. both are great tours, very informative. we took the double-decker tour with our grandaughter, this is a great tour enjoyed sitting on the top deck, this tour is well worth it, as it takes you on different places on the battlefield, that you ...

Okay for the person who wants quick tour.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/13/06
We chose the enclosed air-conditioned bus for our tour. July is too hot to enjoy the open air bus. The tour was informative with a lot stories but hurried, which is needed to keep to their schedule. A lot of things were missed because of time. It gave us a starting place for our own personal tour using the tapes we bought at the souvenir shop. Even ...
Guide on bus tour was great. Knew a tremendous amount of detail about the battle. Well worth the money, but a little high. I had never been to gettysburg before. my daughter loved the tour.
I have been to Gettysburg 5 times and every time I go I take this tour. This tour will put everything in perspective for you and will give you a great layout of the battlefields themselves. It will give you an idea of what you really want to see and where you want to spend more time at. I have done it in the rain or when its scorching hot out ...

Great way for 1st timers to view battlefield!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/06
If you have never been to Gettysburg before I reccommend taking a bus tour to get familar with the battlefield. I have taken both the tour bus, and the double decker. I have taken the tour bus 3 times, each with a different guide, and each were guide was able to bring different bits of info about the battle. The double decker had an audio taped ...
I enjoyed the commentary and the audio information that they provided on this trip; however, I felt like they didn't stop enough to see certain sites, they give you a great overview of the battle on all three days, but again you don't get to stop enough to see the big sites or to get pictures. The ease of the bus though is good because you ...
