My husband and I take our daughter to Presque Isle at least once every summer ... and when we do, you can bet that we will be visiting Waldameer, too.
We like to spend the morning and early afternoon on the beach, at the lake, enjoying a cookout and swimming .... then we dry off and get changed and spend the rest of the day at the amusement ...
Waldameer Park has always been a pleasant little park. In the past it was mostly for families with kids but now the park has more thrilling attractions including a great new roller coaster -- Ravine Flyer II. To say that the new ride is good would be an understatement. Its one of the best around. It starts with a beautiful view of lake Erie and ...

A short report from an Erie native and former employee...
For a good chunk of my life it has been the only park I've ever been to. I've lived in Erie all my life, so that's not strange. I plan on seeing other parks, but I don't think any of them will give me the happy feeling Waldameer does. Maybe because I grew up going there?
I also worked there for a summer, which was decidedly ...

Waldameer is the perfect place to stop if your looking for some fun. It is great how even if you have little ones with you, you can let them jion in on the fun too. They have tons of great little kid rides. The tad pool area in Water World is safe for little kids also. I couldn't get them out of there! But waldameer also has lots of things for ...

expensive
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/21/07
I think that Waldameer is too expensive for being such a small park and for being so close to Cedar Point and Six Flags. Also, they don't allow you, as a parent, to go into Water World with your children so that they can play while you watch. You must pay in order to get it...if they could do something about that, it may make the water park a better place to be.

It's nice you don't have to pay to get in, but there really isn't a lot of good rides. It's a nice park in a nice location. The flume ride is nice and the kids enjoy the water slides. Not a bad place to stop for awhile while in Erie.

After almost 12 years away since I graduated from high school and living in Chicago I decided to take my husband and son back to visit my family in Erie. It's amazing what 12 years away will make you appreciate. Took my son to Waldameer Amusement Park! I hated it when I was younger. I thought it was too small and not enough to do. Well, it was ...
Waldameer is a great family place to visit. The view from the ferris wheel is out of this world. We go to Waldameer every year. Great place for kids and adults. The fudge stand makes the best fudge around and it is not far from our home in Coudersport, PA.
