As a native of Erie, PA, I have a special fondness for Waldameer Park. Each time I visit the park, I have a great time. First, there is the classic wooden coaster the Comet. This coaster offers classic thrills and is fun for the whole family.
Then, there is the Steel Dragon. This spinning coaster is a cut above the rest. As you move along ...

Fun for kids and adults!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/25/07
Waldameer is a great place in the summertime. It is rarely too crowded which is nice. Prices have gone up over the years, but it is still an excellent value for local fun. The water park is refreshing on those hot summer days and the amusement park rides at night complete the day! Lots of yummy snacks and treats, so be prepared to eat your way ...

Love the karaoke!
By shannonspiegel, 04/25/07
I am a country singer, and just moved back here to Erie after 5 years of living in Phoenix. I sure missed the karaoke at Waldameer though! Even though I played at big venues out there, none of them had that friendly "everyone knows everyone else" feel Waldameer has on karaoke weekends. Also, in Phoenix, if you want to karaoke, you have ...

What a great Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/18/06
I can't believe what a great time a family can have for the cost. We spend the whole day from opening to closing and could not believe how quick the time went. Park had something for everyone and I thought better slides than splash lagoon. Will be going back again soon...

Great for the kids
By Ray, 09/05/06
Great park for younger kids, very reasonable prices! Our only issue was the smoking. Personally, I smoke, so you know I don't have an issue with smoking in general. However, I do not smoke around my kids. While waiting in line for the smaller roller coaster, the woman behind us lit up not 2 feet from my 3 yr. old and the smoke was drifting ...

This is a wonderful park to spend the day without wearing yourself out walking from end to end. The water park is great! Lots to do! The lazy river is my favorite. The amusement park has the perfect amount of rides. We have always had a good time here without spending a fortune like so many parks cost. We live 2 hours away and are heading to Erie ...

First time there. Was an experience I will always remember and so will my grandkids. The smiles were worth a million dollars. I want to thank Wendy the snuggly Bear for making my Grandson Dylan not afraid to enjoy himself. He has Cancer and has never been around alot of people and Wendy made him feel LOVED and secure! We were there on June 15th and ...

Family Fun
By Caitlyn, 05/25/06
I love this place. It's free for anyone to get in... but a few tickets for just a couple rides, or the unlimited-ride pass is dirt cheap (like $25 - for the WHOLE park, that's water world too). An entire day of fun, pleasant carnaval-like atmosphere and even rides and mini-shows for the littler kids. I'm from Erie, so I've gone ...
