Every year I try to take my kids to do something educational as well as fun for kinda a back to school trip, they loved the Museum as did I. I had never been to anything like it before so I was as much in "aw" as my kids were.

We live about 90 miles from Norman. I took 5 of my grandchildren age ranging from 6 thru 2 1/2 years old and their great grandfather. I had taken several of the them last year and it was their idea to go back.

My family had a very nice time at the museum. Saturday it was free but would go again any time. Kids lovedf the fossils and exhibits. Great sound effects made some animals seem real.

When I have visitors, this is where i take them. They are always excited and pleased. I never get tired of visiting there.
They have the most marvelous bird sculpture in their peranent collection, but when they have a special exhibit, it is not on view. I really like to show it off.
As an educator, I would recommend this to anyone with children.

What a great place to visit. The dinosaurs, the Native American exhibits and the overall atmosphere are just fantastic. Take as little or as much time as you want.
February every year the SNOMNH celebrates its birthday (2007 is the 108th) and with that, they offer free admission.
