  • We loved Salt Fork.

We stopped by Salt Fork to play golf on our way to Canton. The golf course is beautiful, very green and in great shape. We went to the lodge just to look around and were very impressed with its rustic beauty. They seemed to also have a lot of activities around the lake and the campgrounds were in lovely, tree-filled areas.

  • 3 days in fall

The state park is a beautiful area of Ohio. We spent a couple nights for the fall color. The color was spectacular. The lodge is fine, built in the early 70s. We ate breakfast the first morning at the lodge and none after that. It almost tasted like it was held in a steamer then served. We drove to Cambridge and ate the rest of our meals.

Great place to get away for 1-2 days. Restaurant is reasonable for the kids and food is very good. Nice lake to rent boats and tube/ski.
