Absolutely wonderful home. I love that people could live like that, although it would be a bit much for me. It's nice that at one time it was a possibility, like the homes or "cottages" in Newport, RI. Amazing to see and experience.

Going back in September, 2007
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/24/07
Last May(2006) we returned to Stan Hywet Hall for a second trip and really enjoyed our guided tour of the home. We really enjoyed the "personal" attention, as our tour guide was very informative and the "tour group" was small. On our first trip a few years ago (during the summer months) the groups were rather large, which ...
The house and the surrounding landscape was beautiful. The architecture and design of the house was amazing! Everything from the indoor pool to the outside gardens had little touches that made everything special. However, the volunteers that helped with the tours were very pushy and spoke down to us as if we were five years old. We went on the ...

Beautiful Scenery
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/18/07
Wonderful place to take groups of all ages. The house is gorgeous, & the gardens are even better. We like it so much that we're getting married there this August! Thumbs up!
This is definitely a family friendly place, in addition to being an excellent place for couples, or photographers to spend the day. The prices are very reasonable, particularly since the grounds are so expansive. Late spring through early fall are the best times to visit the grounds, however the other months of operation also offer many seasonal ...

Not just another house
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/28/06
The house and grounds are wonderful. Allow yourself time for the full guided tour of the house and time to walk the gardens. It is worth the effort and you should plan a full 4 to 5 hours for a good tour experience. The price is worth it and there is $1 discount per ticket for AARP and AAA members. I will return in the late spring when the gardens are in full bloom - it should be outstanding.

One beautiful tour!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/03/05
You can just feel the Seiberling family still moving about in this mansion when you tour it! The garden, the indoor pool, the maids quarters are all something the average person would be in awe of. They have community events there all the time and you need to go around Christmas time to see the decorations.
Suprisingly livable mansion of one of the founders of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.

Go if you get a chance!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/18/05
The house is amazing!!! From trap-doors to a HUGE indoor swimming pool, you will see it all in this magnifecent home. My favorite part though, the gardens. There are four beautiful gardens that each have their own atmosphere. I could have lost myself in them for hours!!!! Go if you get the chance.
