This historic theatre has turn of the century charm and a wonderful atmosphere. The level of talent is unmatched in the region. We went there expecting typical local, community theatre and were treated to an eavening of top notch performances all the way around!

Avoid this place like the plague if you have any allergies, especially to mold. It is unfortunate that this has not been dealt with. The seats are fine - older, but they are much like many older theatres in the nation, The oldness is quaint. But please do some serious cleaning, and maybe fix the leaks to get rid of the mold.

The productions sre great.Both actor an actresses give there all.The entire staff worked hard and were proffecinal.I believe you should advertize more outside of the New Bern area.Theater needs renovating and seats should be updated.

New Bern Civic Theatre may look dead on the outside, but most days on the inside, it is alive. If you are looking to be involved in theatre or just want to see a show, it's a great place to go!

This is a great place to watch... or to do... all volunteer... other great opportunies, like musicians, stage hands, props, costumes, lighting... and people willing to help you learn.
