Really enjoyed ourselves. Got some real nice pieces and having some one sit down after your finished to go thru the gems to ID, bag, and tag them was great. If you are in the area this is one spot you need to stop by.
We were dirty, we were wet, we were cold, and we had a blast!! This is a great experience for all ages. We all found a good variety of items, including a nice size sapphire, a ruby worthy of cutting, and even a fragment of old indian pottery.

We took our grandchildren there this summer and camped out in the Rose Creek Campground. We could walk across the field to the mine. Tom and Linda and family are the nicest people you would want to know. They were friendly, helpful and even put up with our small dog that thought the place was his. We Love going to rose creek mine. Our family goes at least once a year for vacation. Of all the mines we have tried, this is our favorite,the owners are the friendliest, we get our money's worth and it's lots of fun even for the little ones. We recommend this place to all our friends who go through Franklin.
