Depends on what you see.Edenton has some of the most beautiful old colonial homes that have been there since it was the Capital. They have been restored and maintained beautifully. Edenton has a wonderful History and you should learn about the history to fully appreciate it. Although Manteo is an atractive little town, it does not even resemble the little fishing ...SHOW FULL REVIEW

Don't waste the time!The title says it all. Edenton tries to pass as a lovely small town and I mean tries. The beauty of the town is limited to the very small historic district. If you travel one streeet over, you will think you are in crack central. If you want to see a small town, go the Manteo. I know this sounds harsh, but I lived in Edenton for over a year. This is just an honest account.OVERALL
