  • Not what I was expecting!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/08/07
When I called and inquired about the cost of pony rides for my 3 year old daughters I was told $15 for 15 minutes, when I arrived later the same day the price increased to $20 for 15 minutes. There was no pony, just an old horse who was dragged around the ring without the proper tack. There was no bit in the animals mouth, I was really worried if ...

  • We will not go back
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/09/07
I took my two daughters ages 8 and 6 for pony rides. The girls who saddled the pony seemed to be about 10 years old. and my daugher was totally frightened because the girls weren't able to lift her onto the pony, and the saddle was wiggly. My younger daughter actually fell right off the pony after he bucked, probably because the saddle slipped backed. I would not recommend this place

I gave them a 3 because I was not really impressed by them. I LOVE horses and when I went there, the conditions under which the horses were kept were not very good.

On a good note, the staff is always very nice when I go there. They seem to really like the horses, and the horses seem to really like them. The horses seemed very happy to ...

They really are doing a great job fixing up Lakewood Stables(It used to be called Lakeside Riding Academy). I went there about a month or so ago and it was great. The staff is so friendly. The horses are beautiful and well kept, as well as the property itself. I think that anyone who is interested in horseback riding should go to Lakewood Stables.

  • Went with 5 kids, 1 with autism
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/24/06
I went to Lakeside Riding Academy last weekend. I brought 5 children, including my 8 year old daughter who has autism. The staff was great, and even though I didn't have an appointment and it was near the end of the day, they provided pony rides* for the children at a great price. (They simply split a block of time amoungst the children for ...

  • Lakeside Riding Academy
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/06
I thought it good. It looks pretty bad but if you get past it it is o.k. I want to take lessons there. I only wish the workers didn't smoke around the area. That is definatley a disadvantage for them. But other
than that the horses are great it is pretty roomy, and it's the kind of place fit for kids and adults.

  • Riding at Lakeside
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/14/06
I thought it was overall a good experience but I felt the place was a little disorganized. My girl scout group went there for a trip and the gerls found a dead rat on the floor. After that we left, and the other troop had a problem too. The people were rude and said they didn't have time for the last 3 girls. I mean things happen so if those things didn't I would give it an average.
