I played that course twice and I found it quite challenging for a nine holes. The greens are in top shape and the trees are nice and mature. I would certainly be ready to pay more to play that type of course. I heard rumors in a Ithaca bar that the city would close that course because they were not making enough money with it. I would be very disapointed.
Newman's 9 holes provide a nice challenge, absolutely excellent greens, a wonderful round of golf in a beautiful setting, and all at a modest price. Separate tee boxes for the first and second rounds makes it feel like you are playing 18 different holes. A great municipal course!
not too shaby. The ninth hole plays along the beautiful lake and it very nice. Ive lost many a ball at this ocurse so any nice ones you find...please return
