    Our son was playing for the week and had some free time. He told us he wanted to take a break and go on the lake. The boat was clean, the crew very friendly and answered all our questions about the history of the lake and Cooperstown. We look forward to taking another tour this August when we return to play another week of baseball!

    One of the outstanding aspects of the Cooperstown area is the boat trip on the "Glimmerglas Queen" that on the hour takes tourists around nine mile long Otsego Lake. Glimmerglas was a nickname given to the lake by American author James Fennimore Cooper because of the sparkling reflections of sunlight on the lake's dark blue surface. ...
