Not Quite a Zoo
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/07/09
This zoo is tiney and doesnt have many animals at all. The employees were EXTREMELY rude even yelling at us when we accidently got off the path for a second. They made the whole experience a nightmare,
THis is such a cute little zoo. I took my 9 year old son and we really enjoyed our selves. To be honest I wasn't expecting it to be very nice or to have as many animals as it did. I would recomend this to any families that wanted a family friendly actiivity to do.
I am in my 70s now and have been to the Hillcrest Park Zoo in Clovis many times through the years. My aunt taught school in Texico and lived in Clovis, so when we visited her we went to the zoo. In later years, I took my kids to the zoo on these special visits. About 3 or 4 years ago, a few family members, including my grandson, visited Clovis. ...

Much nicer than I imagined
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/24/07
This is a small zoo but even so there is still a lot to see. I loved the variety of animals. The monkey and zeedonk were my favortie. Would recommend it to anyone visiting. Nice way to spend a day with the kids.
My husband and I are both military. I grew up in CA where I had the world famous 'San Deigo Zoo', I have been there a hundred times. So I wasn't expecting much out of the Clovis Zoo. But I was so impressed! As one reviewer stated already, the animals are up close and personal... it's amazing how you're able to really see these ...
Wonderful small zoo. The animals are up close and personal. Peacocks roam free and will walk right up to you. It's worth the price of admission (2 dollars) just to watch the spider monkeys play.
