but it's still a pig... From someone who has been there with my kids recently, I have to totally disagree with the "glowing" reviews. This place is dark, dirty, no supervision, and half the things are broken and don't work. Sure, the little kids like running around here, but they would be happy with a cardboard box too. Any child over the age of 7 will be bored stiff in 10 minutes. Save your money!
My son loves it! 9 out of the 10 times (or more) we've been there it was clean and neat. There was this ONE time when it was packed that it was a little messy but with as many kids that go in and out of there, you shouldn't put this place below you. Also as a parent you should know better than to set that kind of example for your child/children. Not every school, museum or park is going to be perfect.
I am from San Jose and we LOVE the museum. We stay in Carson when we go up skiing. It is a safe environment for little ones. We like the San Jose museum but it is very large and expensive so it's not something we go to often. This museum is great for mom because the kids can go on their own and you can see them from all angles. My husband and ...
The best thing we did was get our daughter a membership and take her to Books and Brags on Tuesdays. She looks forward to that every week and she just loves Tutu. She gets to be artistic, hear a story, and make a snack. And it's her special time with Daddy. Perfect from her point of view and mine too.

My family loves it here. My 5 and 8 year old boys can't get enough of the rock wall, which is a great way to burn all that energy in these cold months and my 7 year old daughter hops from place to place for a new imagination experience. My husband and I really appreciate the efforts made to add new things. We really enjoyed the Chinese New Year ...
I have 5 children ages 5-11 and they love every opportunity to visit the museum. There is something for everyone. The youngest loves the hospital room. My 8 year olds enjoy the flight simulator and rock climbing wall. The 9 year old enjoys the bank and store and the oldest plays Dance Dance Revolution. My husband likes the shadow room, but I ...
I take my kids here frequently, and they have always loved it - from age 2 until the present (now 7-1/2). The staff is friendly and helpful, and there is plenty to keep everyone busy and entertained - even the parents!

My 4 year old had a blast and they have a great area for children 2 and under but it is not big at all and there are just booth like play areas. My 10 year old just stood around. This is NO comparisome to any other childrens museum we have been to ... Seatle was awesome memphis was awesome this was like a play room in a school.

The Children's Muesum is best hands on experience your child can get in carson city! Children are able to touch and try out real items, like doctors tools, dig for bones and grocery store cash register and etc. My kids loved the shadow box and talked forver about the rocket. There are areas for big and small. The best part is that parent and ...
This was horrible. It looked great from the outside. I'm thankful the clerk let us peek in before wasting our money. It literally looked like an elementary school cafeteria with "booths" set up - perhaps like a science fair. The displays were there & on stage. If you have children 3 & under (mayyyybe 4) you will probably have fun with your child. Older than that, it is a laughing stock.
