I can't believe there are state run places like this. It's fabulous! It's well maintained and beautiful. The 2 hour drive was well worth it as you can make an entire day out of the trip. They have handgun & rifle ranges, trap & skeet ranges, bow ranges...not to mention the facilities for educational training. Yep, it's worth the drive!

i have been going here and participated in several events ie: "great outdoors day at the range" for over 3 years. the facilities are clean. the staff is friendly & very knowledgeable in conservation, hunting and firearms. they can even grill a good burger and dog!
