  • Where the Cold War began
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/17/04
This is the spot in which Winston Churchill made what is possibly the most famous speech of the twentieth century. When Churchill dropped the Iron Curtain between the USSR and western Europe, many believe he officially began the Cold War. In addition to the detailed historical information, there is an amazing display of a large piece of the Berlin Wall, perhaps the most poignant manifestation of Churchill's Iron Curtain.
