Hopefully the city of Excelsior Springs will be able to reopen the Hall of Waters in the near future. We planned to visit this weekend, but after reading their website learned that it was closed as of late 2006. Now there are government office in the rooms. Sad. Check before going!

When it comes to baths and massages you can get any better in KC. Don't bother with the Elms. It definetely pales in comparison. The Hall of Waters has the feel of a European bath house which is an experience in itself. The prices are reasonable for the area.

Hall O' Waters, Excelsior Springs

The Hall of Waters is within a sumptuous WPA-financed Art Deco building that houses 4 (I believe) of Excelsior Springs' springs.
There's a huge water bar, at which one can sample waters from all over the world.
The building is a masterpiece of public works craftsmanship. There's nothing that looks like it; there's nothing that has its same function, to my knowledge.
