The Windsor ruins are a reminder of times past. There is an air of "old south" that surrounds you as you walk around. I am always amazed at the structure and craftsmanship in the old homesites around the area. This is truly a must see historical site.

I am from Texas and never tire of this place. I am going back for the 5th time in a period of about 10 years. I always take folks there as a surprise. They have no idea what they are about to see. So far, all my family and friends have LOVED it as much as I do....DST from Texas
If you want to see something very few people get to, then wake up before the chickens and make your way to Windsor. You can get in just before the Sun comes up...especially late Sept. thru Oct. You can listen as the woods come alive with squirrels barking, birds waking up...you can even hear their wings beating thru the air...its that quite, and ...
The Ruins of Windsor is the idea of the Old South. One can only image the once beautiful plantation that once thrived in the shadows of this southern castle. Very Romantic, Secluded. Tip: Pack a picnic and have lunch in the shade of century old pecan and oak trees!
