From a Krebs point of view......As a member of the Krebs family, and having visited this site in about 1962, and then again in 1996 and several years after, it is very enjoyable and full of history. The information is very valuable in the museum area and the house itself is quite a structure. I only worry that Katrina has done irrepairable damage. Well Worth The VisitI visited The Old Spanish Fort and the La Pointe-Krebs House in June of 2004. Although I grew up in Moss Point, I had never visited this site. I was extremely impressed with the number of exhibits in the Old Spanish Fort. The LaPointe-Krebs House is in excellent shape and you can almost see the occupants of the house as they were long ago.
